Maryland vs. Rutgers NCAAF Pick – Week 6
The Maryland Terrapins will Appear to bounce back following a performance in Week 5 against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
A rating of 59-0 smacked them in what had been no doubter for Penn State. This was likely to be a statement game for Maryland. A game to show that the Terrapins belong at the Big Ten and can hang with the big boys of the conference.
It did not happen, not whatsoever. Until they werent moving any 11, penn State bludgeoned Maryland. Maryland were losers the week before using a 20-17 loss against the Temple Owls. The idea there was that Maryland got caught looking forward. Given the results last week, Maryland were thinking about something but it sure wasnt football.
This turn has been sudden for Maryland. This dip happened immediately following a win over the Syracuse Orange. Josh Jackson, who passed 3 touchdowns against Syracuse, had been held to 65 yards and 2 interceptions against Penn State. The Terrapins will look to find the pieces at New Jersey at Rutgers University. Rutgers expect to secure their second win of the season in such a one.
Rutgers have only one win to show for their efforts. That was contrary to a fellow meltdown fire app, the UMass Minuteman. The Scarlet Knights are coming off a blowout loss of. Theyve dropped by a combined rating of 82-0 in 2019 against Big Ten foes.
Their other Big Ten matchup was a 30-0 loss against the Iowa Hawkeyes. Speaking. Rutgers should take their ball and go find another seminar willing to carry them on. The AAC are a much better fit for the confused and lost Scarlet Knights. Head below for our free Maryland vs. Rutgers pick.

McLane Carter, texas Tech transport, is named the starting quarterback in Week 1 to take on UMass. He led Rutgers to a 48-21 win and it looked as though they had a capable quarterback running the show. A week 14, after Carter suffered a concussion from Iowa This was short lived.
Rutgers have been made to return to their starting QB Artur Sitkowski, from last year. If you followed Rutgers at all, you are aware of how bad Sitkowski was. He had been the worst fulltime starting quarterback at the FBS, with thrown 4 touchdowns along with a whopping 18 interceptions on just 49.1% completions.
Sitkowski will be back in the saddle from Maryland in Week 6. Carter has not yet been cleared to return to play with, therefore Sitkowski will probably soon be called on . Its gone for Sitkowski so far but that isnt saying much. Sitkowski has thrown a touchdown with 2 interceptions on 64.7% completions. His completion percentage is up considerably, so that is something to build up for him. Throwing interceptions than touchdowns is something he has to get under control.
Josh Jackson, former Virginia Tech QB, was good for Maryland this season with 8 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with yards. Jackson put on a display for the Hokies since he showcased his ability as a QB. He passed 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptionsand 6 scores over the ground. Jackson was away from Penn State, but look for him to get back on course in dominant fashion from Rutgers.
The Knights enter 91st from the country with 414 yards allowed per game. Theyve been getting torched around the ground with almost 200 yards surrendered a match. The Terrapins also have compiled 223 rushing yards per game for 25th at the FBS and are effective at running the ball.
Look for Maryland to assert themselves and take the game over. This looks like a fantastic place for freshman Anthony McFarland Jr. to go off for big amounts. Maryland probably have this one by at least 2 touchdowns to win and cover this spread.
